As a Nurse Advisor in our remote Care Bureau team, you’ll play a crucial part in ensuring patients and healthcare professionals receive safe, high‑quality clinical support, day or night. You’ll be part of a service that operates 24 hours a day, helping people when they need it most.
What you’ll be doing
As a key member of our Care Bureau, within this 6 month fixed term contract you will:
- Deliver high‑quality clinical assessments via telephone consultation.
- Use clinical decision‑making software effectively to provide safe and appropriate advice.
- Liaise with field‑based Sciensus nurses, sharing relevant clinical information and agreed follow‑up actions.
- Recognise opportunities to provide health education and signpost patients where appropriate.
- Maintain immediate, accurate records of consultations
- Act as a Safeguarding Champion — supporting clinicians out of hours, assessing concerns, and ensuring appropriate escalation, documentation and incident management.
Who we’re looking for
You’ll be a confident, clinically astute nurse who thrives in a remote, fast‑paced environment and can make sound decisions independently.
You’ll bring:
- RGN (Part 1 NMC) qualification, with RSCN where appropriate.
- Suitable post‑registration experience in acute or busy clinical settings, including independent clinical decision‑making
- Experience clinically assessing patients and giving telephone‑based clinical advice.
- Strong understanding of therapies and drugs relevant to the service.
- Excellent communication skills—empathetic, clear, and able to convey complex clinical information simply.
- High attention to detail and adherence to clinical protocols.
- A flexible, adaptable mindset to support the demands of a 24‑hour service.
