This is a hands-on, fast paced role at the heart of our Distribution Centre operations. As an Assistant Transport & Distribution Centre Manager, you’ll play a vital part in ensuring patients receive the right products, at the right time, in full compliance with clinical and regulatory standards. You’ll support the Transport & Distribution Manager in delivering safe, efficient and high quality distribution while helping maintain a positive, well run depot environment.

This is a full-time position working 48hrs per week, 5 days out 6, with shifts between the hours of 5am – 8pm.
What you’ll be doing
• Supporting day to day operations to ensure service and KPI targets are met
• Assisting with driver management, route dispatch and daily debriefs
• Monitoring fleet standards
• Supporting strict stock control, order reconciliation and temperature controlled compliance
• Tracking stock assigned to other sites
• Monitoring and reporting delivery adherence and adverse events
• Updating and maintaining accurate data across D365, FSM and SEB board systems
• Assisting the site Responsible Person with safety, cleanliness and compliance standards
• Escalating operational issues appropriately and covering the depot in the absence of the Manager
• Supporting projects, audits and site initiatives as required
• Assisting with deliveries when needed to ensure routes remain within control

Who we’re looking for
• A clean, valid UK driving licence
• Full DBS clearance
• Experience managing or supporting a team within a logistics environment
• Confident using Microsoft Office, email and digital systems
• Highly organised with strong communication and people management skills
• Flexible, dependable and comfortable working in a pressurised environment
• A proactive attitude with a genuine “whatever it takes” approach to operational support
