Why this role matters
We’re looking for an experienced and driven Head of Quality – Aseptic Compounding to join us on a 12-month fixed-term contract to support the team during a period of transition and continued growth.
This is a critical leadership role, responsible for safeguarding patient safety and ensuring the highest standards of quality across our compounding unit. You’ll play a key role in maintaining regulatory compliance, driving continuous improvement, and providing expert guidance to support the delivery of safe, high-quality pharmaceutical care.
What you’ll be doing
- Leading and overseeing all aspects of quality across the compounding unit.
- Managing regulatory inspections, audits, and licences related to specials manufacturing
- Overseeing approval and release processes
- Ensuring appropriate validation, testing, and monitoring processes are in place
- Leading investigations, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Providing professional leadership to the QA team, driving performance and development
- Monitoring supplier quality and outsourced GMP activities
- Acting as a named Head of Quality Control and eligible Releasing Officer within the QMS
Who we’re looking for
- Proven experience leading a QA function within an aseptic pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
- Strong working knowledge of MHRA requirements, GMP, and regulatory compliance
- Experience hosting inspections and managing audits
- Leadership capability with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop high-performing teams
- Excellent communication skills with the confidence to influence and engage stakeholders
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- A quality-focused mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement
