This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless overnight operations within our Clinical Logistics team. As Night Operations Lead, you’ll be at the heart of our mission to give patients control of their health through knowledge, choice, convenience, and connection.
You’ll take ownership of late-shift depot activity, supporting safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of medicines, while leading a team to deliver an exceptional standard of service.
What you’ll be doing
· Supporting the overnight operations
· Monitoring driver routes and delivery adherence, escalating any issues or adverse events
· Managing the arrival of overnight trunk deliveries, ensuring efficient unload, exchanges, and returns processing
· Ensuring vehicles are safe, compliant, and maintained to required standards
· Maintaining accurate system updates in D365, including driver and vehicle data
· Carrying out depot security checks to ensure building safety and prevent unauthorised access
· Completing and distributing all handover documentation to relevant stakeholders
· Prioritising nurse deliveries to protect patient-facing time (PFT)
· Using controlled documentation to report abnormalities and support compliance
Who we’re looking for
· Proven experience managing a team
· Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure
· Confident communicator with excellent relationship-building skills
· A proactive, “whatever it takes” mindset to support operational success
· Strong IT skills, including MS Office, email, and systems such as D365
· A clean, valid driving licence and willingness to complete DBS clearance
· A solid understanding of compliance requirements (MHRA, GDP, GPHC, H&S) or the ability to quickly learn
