Our customers, which include the world’s leading logos, are expanding how they use our platform, driving automation of critical customer service operations and integrating PolyAI into their daily customer service workflows.

We are expanding our AI Deployments team in Hong Kong, a key hub for our enterprise clients across Asia. As a Dialogue Designer, you will design conversational experiences for enterprise voice agents that manage thousands of interactions every day across industries like banking, hospitality, telecom, and insurance.

You will be responsible for shaping customer journeys that feel natural, effective, and culturally appropriate for the APAC region. Day to day, you’ll listen to real customer interactions, refine experiences based on data and feedback, and work closely with engineers and product teams to ensure our assistants deliver measurable business impact for some of the region’s most recognisable brands.

This is a unique opportunity for someone passionate about language, design, and AI to influence how millions of people interact with enterprises across Asia.

Responsibilities:

  • Design the customer experience of enterprise voice assistants, from simple FAQ flows to complex, multi-turn conversations
  • Write conversational and UX copy that guides users naturally, reduces friction, and respects cultural context across APAC
  • Help build and maintain assistants using internal tools, LLMs, and Python
  • Listen to real customer interactions, identify improvements, and iterate to maximise impact for enterprise clients
  • Define and track key performance metrics to demonstrate business value and improve satisfaction
  • Support engineering teams to ensure our generative AI implementations are accurate, effective, and safe

Qualifications:

  • Passionate about creating great user experiences and obsessed with detail
  • Naturally empathetic, curious, and motivated to improve customer interactions
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and iterating quickly based on feedback
  • A strong communicator who can simplify complex ideas into clear, inclusive language
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to balance creativity and precision
  • Strong user-focused mindset with attention to clarity and consistency
  • Native-level Cantonese and strong English (C1+); Mandarin is a plus
  • 1–3 years of hands-on experience with large language models (LLMs) and conversational AI applications
  • Experience with prompt engineering and working with LLMs
  • Basic proficiency in Python (e.g., variables, loops, lists, dictionaries)

Nice to Have:

  • BS/MS degree in Interaction Design, Linguistics, Psychology, or another relevant Social Science field
  • Familiarity with analytics or data science (data manipulation, analysis, visualisation)
  • Experience collaborating with stakeholders through content design/development
  • Exposure to customer service industries (banking, hospitality, telecom, insurance) is a plus
